Interesting Note On 3/03/11 **SPOILER**
After last night's TNA World title win in Fayetteville, North Carolina, it appears as though Sting is now the fourth oldest man to ever win a World title.
The oldest would be Verne Gagne at 54, followed by Terry Funk at 53 and Nick Bockwinkel at 52. Sting is now 51. Coincidentally, this is the same age Ric Flair was when he won his last World title.

As noted earlier here on the website, Steve "Sting" Borden is backstage at today's TNA "iMPACT! taping in Fayetteville, North Carolina. We can now confirm that he will be revealed as a "surprise opponent" for TNA World Heavyweight Champion Jeff Hardy.
The angle will continue to next month's Victory Road pay-per-view on March 13.
It was reported earlier today that Borden had re-signed with the organization. His prior contract expired in December.

TNA Tapes iMPACT! In North Carolina Thursday Night
TNA will tape several episodes of iMPACT! Thursday in Fayetteville, NC at the Crown Coliseum. It will be the first iMPACT! held outside of the Impact Zone since the live iMPACT! that was held in Las Vegas.
Taking TNA iMPACT! on the road is being done as an experiment to see if they can get the same reaction that the company has been getting at their house shows.

Phil Shatter (Gunner) and Mikael Judas (Murphy) have both signed TNA deals. Their deals are similar to that of Tommy "Crimson" Mercer as both can accept bookings for independent shows but TNA bookings take priority. They also cannot appear on independent TV shows.
